According to this theory, the clearest sign of flow is the merging of action and awareness in a way that “a person in flow is aware of his actions but not of the awareness itself” ( Csikszentmihalyi, 1975, pp 38). Flow is a subjective experience in which actions seem to happen effortlessly, fluently, and almost automatically. What makes everyday experiences genuinely satisfying?
